The conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has become one of the most serious geopolitical crises in the world in 2026. What began as targeted military strikes has now grown into a broader regional war, raising fears of long-term instability in the Middle East.
The escalation started on 28 February 2026, when Israel, reportedly with support from the United States, launched a large-scale military operation targeting Iranian military facilities and strategic sites. The attacks were aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities and countering its nuclear and missile programs. Iran quickly retaliated with missile and drone strikes on Israeli targets as well as U.S. military bases across the Middle East.
Since then, the conflict has intensified with repeated airstrikes, cyberattacks, and missile exchanges. Several neighboring countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan have also experienced spillover effects as Iranian missiles and drones targeted American or allied military installations in those regions.
